This analysis only includes candidate position statements submitted as of August 2, 2018.<\/p>\n

Note that a wide screen is necessary to view the following tables. Without a large screen, the comments won’t be readable. Position statements submitted after August 2, 2018 are marked in Brown<\/span>.<\/p>\n

The political party codes are as follows: D = Democrat, R = Republican, I = Independent, L = Libertarian, G = Green Party, C = Constitution, N = Nonpartisan, NS = Nonpartisan Special. The categorical positions on the referendum are Y = Yes, N = No, P = Punted on staking out a position.\u00a0 The numerical rankings on the position statement are: 5 = Support, 4 = Hedged Support, 3 = Neutral, 2 = Hedged Opposition, 1 = Opposition. J.H. Snider assigned the position categories and numerical rankings based on a candidate’s written statement.<\/p>\n
